The ITS-9200 is a synthesized RF source
with a flexible locking capability that allows it to be phase-locked to
non-standard external references. It is specifically designed for
synchronization to mode-locked lasers with pulse output frequencies in the 72-80 MHz region, although it can be easily modified to adapt to other reference frequencies.
The basic instrument will generate output frequencies from 4-10 GHz with a 1
MHz step size and can be extended to 2-20 GHz with optional
frequency expansion modules. The ITS-9200 is fully programmable through a
Ethernet interface will SCPI compatiblitly for simple instrument programming.
A precision phase shifter is also provided in the ITS-9200 to permit programmable phase control. The 16-bit phase shifter will allow <1 degree phase shift control at the highest frequency of 20 GHz.
